FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this really the best kimchi in Barcelona?+
We think so, and so do the friends and neighbours who keep asking for the next batch. It's made the traditional way in our home kitchen: napa cabbage is salted, then marinated with fresh, hand-mixed ingredients and fermented slowly over a few days. No vinegar, no pasteurisation, no shortcuts.
How spicy is it?+
Perfectly balanced and medium: warming, not painful. For orders over 3 litres we're happy to adjust the spice level to your taste.
How long does it keep?+
Refrigerated, it keeps for months. It gets more sour over time, which is great for kimchi jjigae and fried rice. Best fresh-crunchy within 4–6 weeks.
Where do you deliver?+
Delivery around Sant Cugat del Vallès and the nearby towns is free: we're there most weekdays once the kids are at school. Barcelona isn't on our regular route, so the easiest option is a free pickup in Sant Cugat. If you'd rather have it delivered to Barcelona there's a €5 charge and it can take a little longer to arrange. Pickup in Vacarisses, where we live, is always possible too.
How do I pay?+
You can pay by cash or Bizum at the time of delivery. No card payments.
How soon can I get my jars?+
Every batch is made fresh, depending on demand, and they go pretty quickly. Place your order and we'll let you know as soon as your batch is ready; when there's a lot of demand we make batches back to back.
Do you do bulk orders?+
Yes. A single batch is about 3 litres. Give us at least 5 days' notice and a 50% deposit, and we'll make a batch just for you; for orders over 3 litres we can also adjust the spice level. Send a request from your account or WhatsApp us with quantities and dates.
